Commendation

  1. The awards ceremony is held at the annual assembly, where reviews are provided by the Award Judging Committee and certificates offered by the president to the winners. The winner for the Toryu-sho (Budding Project) category is expected to deliver a speech.
  2. The winners and the review and outline of the awarded works are announced in the "Chiiki Kenkyu" (Area Studies), JCAS journal in Japanese (at the "Academic Circle Prospect" column). In case books are awarded, the judge reviews may be published as book reviews.
  3. The judge reviews and an outline of the awarded works are also placed at the Japan Consortium for Area Studies website.
