"Chiiki Kenkyu" (Area Studies): JCAS Journal in Japanese

The Japan Consortium for Area Studies (JCAS) publishes a journal in Japanese named "Chiiki Kenkyu" (literally, ‘Area Studies’) twice a year, which consists of feature articles addressing global issues with an area studies focus and other articles (to be peer reviewed).

The feature and other articles in the journal are based on submissions from various authors. To submit articles, please refer to the submission and article writing requirements (Both of which available in MS word files) for further details.

"Chiiki Kenkyu" is available through Showado, a publishing company. For periodical subscription, contact the journal publication staff at journal@cias.kyoto-u.ac.jp in the Administration Office (in charge of the journal publication).
